1 Nephi 9&10 Exercising Faith

It's so weird to me that, for a good part of the Book of Mormon, the people are learning about the Atonement and Christ's life before He even lived. I suppose it's no different from us learning about the Second Coming today. I like thinking about all the different perspectives through time in the gospel.  There were those who learned about the the birth, life, and death of Christ, the Great Apostasy, the Restoration, and the Second Coming before any of it happened. There are those who lived during Christ's time.  They had to transition from the lower to the higher law--some did and some didn't. Then there are those who lived after Christ's resurrection either before the Apostasy, after the Apostasy, or after the Restoration. Either way you look at it, Heavenly Father has required His children to exercise faith in all dispensations. What will our faith be like after the Second Coming. I guess there are two kinds of faith. There is faith that "[hopes] for things which are not seen, which are true" (Alma 32:21) and then there is the power of God. We'll just have to wait to find out!

For he that diligently seeketh shall find;
and the mysteries of God shall be unfolded
unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost
as well in these times as in times of old,
and as well in times of old as in times to come;
wherefore, the course of the Lord is one eternal round.
1 Nephi 10:19
